Which Player Has Made the Most 3-Pointers in NBA History?

Stephen Curry has made the most 3-pointers in NBA history, becoming the first player to hit 3,000 triples. He is on pace to eclipse the 4,000 mark.

Curry passed Ray Allen on the all-time makes list on Dec. 14, 2021, in a 105-96 Golden State Warriors win over the New York Knicks in front of a loud crowd at Madison Square Garden.

His 3-point shot is so automatic that he exploded for an NBA-record 402 3-pointers during the 2015-16 season. Nobody ever made 300 treys in any season prior.

The two-time MVP is one of three players to reach that mark, doing so five different times. He’s the only player to have reached that mark multiple times.

Curry first set the record for the most 3-point makes with 272 during the 2012-13 season, passing Allen’s 269 makes mark set during the 2005-06 season. He then set a new record with 286 makes during the 2014-15 season before shattering that record the season after.

The Warriors ‘ offence was impossible to defend because of Curry’s long-distance range that extended near the half-court line. They went a league-record 73-9 the season the Baby-Faced Assassin set the current 3-point record, which helped him earn the NBA’s first and only unanimous MVP.

Golden State had incredibly short championship NBA odds during the thick of The Chef’s prime, capitalizing with four championships in six NBA Finals appearances in an eight-season span.

Curry’s career-high in 3-point makes in a game came on Nov. 7, 2016, drilling 13 shots from behind the arc in a 46-point effort to lead his Warriors to a 116-106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
