  • Antetokounmpo has been linked to several teams in trade rumours.

The Milwaukee Bucks’ championship basketball odds at the BetMGM online sportsbook have significantly increased since their opening odds of +1000 were released.

As a result, Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumours are heating up. Where could he go?

Let’s take a look at several potential options.

Latest Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Rumours

Antetokounmpo has been linked to the Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, and Golden State Warriors.

The Bucks have an aging supporting cast with Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton, and Brook Lopez. They also have very few trade assets to make meaningful upgrades, which could force them to blow it up and trade the face of their franchise.

Antetokounmpo is under contract through the 2027-28 season, though he can opt out a year early, barring a contract extension.

The Heat have long been considered an attractive destination for The Greek Freak. However, it might take them parting with Bam Adebayo or Jimmy Butler to get a deal done.

If that’s the case, either player could be re-routed to another team as part of a bigger deal since the Bucks would almost certainly prioritize getting younger assets.

Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, and Nikola Jović could all be of Milwaukee’s interest.

If Miami makes a move for Antetokounmpo, they will likely need to bring in a co-star and other assets that mesh with his style of play. How they make that happen is anyone’s guess, but Heat president Pat Riley has made magic happen before.

The Knicks are likely out of assets following their trades for Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges, giving away most of their draft capital.

However, the other New York team could swoop in and re-route the draft assets they got from their crosstown rivals to make a play for the eight-time All-Star.

The Nets are loaded with first-round picks, including the Bucks’ protected 1-4 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Brooklyn could throw in Ben Simmons, an expiring contract, to match salaries and offer Cam Thomas and Noah Clowney to sweeten the package.

Some Nets fans may prefer to tank for Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey, but if Antetokounmpo genuinely wants Brooklyn, I’d argue they should go for it since the Nets are not guaranteed to get either top prospect on draft night.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade to Warriors: Will it Happen?

The Warriors have been salivating at the possibility of trading for Antetokounmpo for quite some time.

They have Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody, and Trayce Jackson-Davis as young prospects who could be of interest to the Bucks, as well as plenty of draft capital.

Andrew Wiggins would likely have to be sent away to make salaries match.

The Warriors arguably have the best package to offer for the 2021 Finals MVP, and since they are generally among the NBA odds favourites to win a championship, they probably present the best opportunity for Antetokounmpo to add another ring.

Antetokounmpo would have a wide-open floor to work with, given the Warriors’ desire to spread the floor with a bunch of shooters. The attention he attracts inside would open up even more looks for Stephen Curry behind the arc.
