What’s the Best Win-Loss Record in NBA History?

The Golden State Warriors have the best win-loss record in NBA history, going 73-9 during the 2015-16 season.

The Warriors started their season 24-0, the best season start in NBA history and continued to blitz their opponents at a record rate.

Golden State’s depth and heavy ball-movement offence wreaked havoc for their opponents, especially since it freed up Stephen Curry to knock down the most 3-pointers in one season.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, they didn’t get the job done in the NBA Finals, as the Cleveland Cavaliers became the first team to erase a 3-1 Finals deficit thanks to a locked-in LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

Who Has the Best Playoff Record in NBA History?

The 2016-17 Warriors have the best playoff record in NBA history, going 16-1.

This group made good on their short NBA odds of winning a championship after historically losing the Finals the previous season.

After going 73-9, the Warriors added Kevin Durant to a core of Curry, Thompson, and Green the next season, much to the chagrin of many opposing fans and media personalities.

As a result, Golden State swept their way to the Finals before putting the Cavs away in five games on the world’s biggest stage. They took down the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, and San Antonio Spurs en route to their third consecutive Finals appearance.
