Biniyam Abrha is the youngest active soccer player. A midfielder for Shagger City in the topflight of Ethiopian football, Abrha has earned four caps for Ethiopia’s Under-17 team.
He made his debut in senior football exactly four months after his 14th birthday. He played the final 10 minutes of a 2-1 defeat to Hawasa Ketema SC.
Diego Palma is the only other active senior footballer yet to celebrate his 15th birthday. Palma is a defensive midfielder with two senior appearances in the Liga Guate for Deportivo Achuapa.
