The oldest MLS players are often key when reviewing MLS betting markets. Lionel Messi, for instance, might be in his late 30s, but the Argentine’s arrival changed the outlook for Inter Miami and led to an influx of other big-name stars.

Messi isn’t the oldest active MLS player, but he’s featured on this, along with one of his high-profile teammates.

Who Is the Oldest Player in the MLS Right Now?

Kei Kamara is the oldest player in the MLS right now (and a considerable contract to Cavan Sullivan, the youngest MLS player currently in the league).

Kamara is the only current MLS player in his 40s and holds the MLS records for the most appearances by a foreign player (461) and the most different clubs played for (12).

Playing for FC Cincinnati in the 2025 season, Kamara was closer in age to his head coach than to any of his teammates.
