The differences between ballparks are one of my favourite things about baseball. From the perspective of MLB betting, it’s essential to be aware of the characteristics of each stadium, as they can significantly impact where the value lies.

For instance, if it’s particularly difficult to hit home runs at a certain ballpark, that is something to consider when looking at baseball odds at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Even the sport’s best power hitters will struggle to clear the fence when conditions are against them.

Where Is the Hardest Ballpark To Hit a Home Run?

PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, is the hardest MLB park to hit home runs in, per Baseball Savant. Its home run park factor of 76 is six lower than that of Oracle Park, which is the second-hardest ballpark to hit home runs in, according to Park Factors.

Weather conditions play a role at PNC and Oracle. Along with a high wall in right field, Oracle Park often has winds coming in off the cove that knock down flyballs. Pirates games are often played in breezy or chilly conditions, which make life difficult for hitters.
