Where to Watch Toronto Blue Jays vs. Texas Rangers

  • The Jays host the Rangers on Aug. 15, 16, and 17.
  • The first game of the series is on Apple TV+.
  • Sportsnet has rights to the games on Aug. 16 and 17.

The Toronto Blue Jays’ odds to reach the World Series could be significantly impacted by their three-game series against the Texas Rangers on Aug. 15, 16, and 17.

Texas has dropped to .500, leaving them 3.5 games behind the AL wild-card spot. Toronto has a five-game lead atop the AL East and has a 98% chance of making the postseason, according to Baseball Reference.

Offence has been the key for the Jays in recent weeks. Their bullpen has the second-highest ERA in the second half, but their lineup has been by far the best in baseball over the same period.

The Rangers have the worst wRC+ in the majors since the break, though their bullpen has been reliable, and they have Jacob deGrom, Patrick Corbin, and Nathan Eovaldi taking the mound in this series.

Toronto is giving the ball to Chris Bassitt, Eric Lauer, and José Berríos. Bassitt has been inconsistent, while Berríos has a difficult task against Eovaldi. Lauer’s start is the Jays’ best chance of a win.
