  • Pitchers and catchers report between Feb. 9 and Feb. 13.
  • Cubs pitchers and catchers will report on Feb. 9.
  • Eight teams are reporting on Feb. 13.

It always feels like a long wait for spring training. The day pitchers and catchers report indicates the end of the offseason and finally gives fans a chance to see clips of their team in action, even if it’s a few days before games get underway.

All 30 MLB teams are scheduled to have their pitchers and catchers report in a five-day window in early February.

While performances in spring don’t always have a major impact on MLB odds to win the World Series at the BetMGM online sportsbook, it’s an opportunity for pitchers to ramp up and hitters to find some rhythm.

A minimal amount can be read into the players’ performances among the favourites for MVP in the preseason baseball odds, but spring training can give an early sign of which players might be poised for a breakout.

When Do Pitchers and Catchers Report for Spring Training in 2025?

Pitchers and catchers for the Chicago Cubs will report for spring training on Feb. 9. This is the earliest of any MLB team.

Across the Cactus League and Grapefruit League, eight teams have their pitchers and catchers reporting on Feb. 13: the Cleveland Guardians, Colorado Rockies, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, Houston Astros, Minnesota Twins, and Toronto Blue Jays.
