- Dave Stieb’s 175 wins are the most in Toronto Blue Jays history.
- Only five Jays have more than 100 wins.
- Six different Jays have had 20-win seasons.
The pitchers with the most wins in Toronto Blue Jays history had a combination of longevity and high-level performance. Earning wins relies on the lineup providing some run support, so it’s unsurprising that many of the top names in this list were in the rotation when Blue Jays odds of winning the World Series were at their shortest.
Two of Toronto’s four Cy Young winners feature in the top 10. Roger Clemens, winner of two Cy Young Awards as a Jay, amassed 41 wins across his two seasons with the Blue Jays and missed the top 10. Robbie Ray had 14 wins over 36 starts.

Which Blue Jays Pitcher Has the Most Wins in Team History?
Dave Stieb has the most wins in Blue Jays history with 175.
However, Stieb never had a 20-win season as a Blue Jay, despite the feat being achieved eight times in franchise history. Six pitchers (Roy Halladay, Roger Clemens, Jack Morris, David Wells, J.A. Happ, Pat Hentgen) have had 20-win campaigns.
Across a long career, Stieb had six seasons with 16 or more wins, including his 18-win 1990 season when he became one of the favourites for the AL Cy Young in baseball odds before finishing fifth in the voting.
Halladay, a consistent sportsbook favourite for the Cy Young, set the franchise single-season record with 22 wins in 2003. He led the majors in innings and bWAR and won the Cy Young ahead of Esteban Loaiza and Pedro Martinez.
With starters throwing fewer innings and being more frequently removed from games before the fifth inning, win totals are much lower than in previous generations.
