Which Third Baseman Has the Most Home Runs in MLB History?
Mike Schmidt has the most home runs among primary third basemen with 548. Schmidt, along with Eddie Mathews, is one of two third basemen to have hit 500 home runs.
While Schmidt and Mathews are the only players in the 500 home run club, plenty of others in the list above were consistently priced among the MVP favourites in the MLB betting markets.
Schmidt led the majors in home runs in six seasons, including three consecutive years between 1974 and 1976. Between 1974 and 1987, he had only one campaign with fewer than 31 home runs.
