The Toronto Blue Jays agreed to a massive contract with Dylan Cease in the 2025-26 offseason.

Cease immediately ranked among the baseball betting favourites for the AL Cy Young Award at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

What Happened To Dylan Cease?

Cease left his start on May 24 with hamstring pain.

It was only a mild strain, meaning Cease had a short stint on the injured list.

Has Dylan Cease Ever Been Injured?

Yes, Cease has been injured in the past. He is currently on the 15-day injured list with a hamstring strain.

Durability has been a major factor in Cease’s value; however, he has made at least 32 starts in each of the last five seasons.

When Will Cease Return?

Cease is expected to return to Toronto’s rotation this week and could start against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday.

The veteran right-hander struck out six hitters in a rehab start in Triple-A last week and rejoined the Jays over the weekend.

Toronto is expected to get further reinforcements for its rotation in the coming weeks, with Shane Bieber and Max Scherzer progressing well.
