Dylan Cease’s injury is a hamstring strain. He is expected to return this week after rejoining the team at the weekend. 

Max Scherzer is expected to pitch against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. 

Alejandro Kirk’s latest injury is a fractured thumb. He had surgery on April 7. His return is imminent. He’s begun a rehab assignment. 

Addison Barger homered in his first rehab game in Single-A. He could return to the big-league team this week.

Yimi García had shoulder surgery in September 2025. He has made four appearances on a rehab assignment. 

Lenyn Sosa was placed on the injured list with a wrist contusion, retroactive to May 27. He began hitting progression last week. 

Lazaro Estrada is on a rehab assignment. He should be healthy to return in the next week or two. 

Tommy Nance has forearm discomfort. He began a rehab assignment last week. 

Shane Bieber is on a rehab assignment. He’s struggled in his minor-league appearances so far. 

Joe Mantiply will undergo surgery on a knee injury. He has no timetable for return and has been placed on the 60-day injured list. 

Anthony Santander had surgery on a torn labrum in February. There is no timetable for his return.

Cody Ponce is out for at least six months after undergoing surgery on an ACL sprain. Ponce could return if the Jays make the playoffs. 

José Berríos had elbow surgery. He is out for the rest of the year. 

Bowden Francis had Tommy John surgery in February. He will not return until 2027.
