  • Max Scherzer is starting Game 7.
  • Five of the last eight World Series Game 7s have seen NRFI hit.
  • Shohei Ohtani is expected to start for the Dodgers.

After researching the latest betting trends, there are numerous baseball bets today in the YRFI and NRFI markets.

Best YRFI/NRFI Bet, Predictions, & Odds Today

Los Angeles Dodgers at Toronto Blue Jays: NRFI (-128)

My online sports betting prediction from BetMGM’s NRFI odds prediction is NRFI in Game 7 of the World Series. NRFI has cashed in four of the first six games in this series.

Max Scherzer and Shohei Ohtani will be amped up. Their stuff will be sharper than usual. Scherzer, perhaps the fiercest competitor in the big leagues, has relished his previous playoff outings. Ohtani’s stuff is always nasty.

Of the last eight World Series Game 7s, five have seen NRFI land. Pitching has been in the ascendancy over the last few games, and I expect that to continue tonight.

What Does NRFI Mean?

NRFI means “no run first inning.” This is a wager on both teams failing to score a run in the first inning of the game. The game has to be scoreless at the start of the second inning for this bet to win.

What Does YRFI Mean?

YRFI stands for “yes run first inning.” A bet on YRFI is a wager on either team scoring a run during the first frame.

How To Bet on NRFI/YRFI

Betting on NRFI or YRFI markets is simple. Bettors decide if there will be a run in the first inning of the game. This requires analysis of the starting pitchers and how the respective lineups have fared in the first inning of games.

Example of an NRFI/YRFI Bet

If I placed a YRFI bet on the Toronto Blue Jays against the New York Yankees, my wager would only pay out if one of the teams scored a run.

If this bet were priced at -105, for instance, a $10 wager would have a potential return of $19.52.
