T20 World Cup Predictions 2026

I predict India, who are -256 at the BetMGM online sportsbook, will win the T20 World Cup.

New Zealand’s chances in the final rest heavily on the opening partnership of Tim Seifert and Finn Allen replicating their heroics from the semi-final. Both players have had brilliant tournaments, but it is a big ask to score as quickly against an Indian attack led by Jasprit Bumrah.

The depth of India’s batting lineup is what makes them so dangerous. There is never a moment of hesitation from first ball to last, which enabled them to post more than 250 against England on Thursday.

Home advantage is significant, too. There will be a raucous, partisan crowd in Ahmedabad. The surface is likely to heavily favour batters, and I doubt New Zealand can keep pace with India post a score significantly above 200. If the Kiwis bat first, they then face the challenge of deciding what a good score is, which could lead to some uncertainty from their batters.
