Utah State Aggies All-Time Greatest Football Players
1. Merlin Olsen
Olsen played defensive tackle for the Aggies from 1959 to 1961.
He was a consensus All-American, first-team All-American, and All-Conference twice, and he won the Outland Trophy.
Olsen is enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame.
2. Bobby Wagner
Wagner was with Utah State from 2008 to 2011. He was the WAC Defensive Player of the Year and three-time first-team All-WAC.
He had 446 tackles (second in program history), including 147 in 2011 (seventh-most in a single season).
3. Chuckie Keeton
Another signal-caller, Keeton, was with Utah State from 2011 to 2015.
He threw for 7,393 yards (third) and 62 touchdowns (first).
He accumulated 8,808 total yards (second) and 74 total touchdowns (first).
Keeton was second-team All-WAC in 2012.
4. Jordan Love
Jordan Love played for Utah State from 2016 to 2019 and earned second-team All-Mountain West honours in 2018.
He finished his career with 8,600 passing yards (second), 60 passing touchdowns (second), 69 total touchdowns (second), and 9,003 total yards (first).
Love holds two of the top three single-season passing yardage records, including 3,567 in 2018 (second) and 3,402 in 2019 (third).
5. Robert Turbin
Turbin, the WAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2011, played running back for Utah State from 2007 to 2011.
He was also first-team All-WAC.
He had 3,315 rushing yards (fifth) and 40 rushing touchdowns (tied for first).
Turbin holds the Aggies’ single-season rushing touchdown record with 19 in 2011.
