1. Donald Brown
Brown was a running back at UConn from 2006 to 2008.
He finished with 3,800 rushing yards (most in program history) and 33 touchdowns (second).
He holds the single-season rushing record with 2,083 yards in 2008.
Brown was a first-team All-American, the Big East Offensive Player of the Year (2008), and was named first-team All-Big East, second-team All-Big East, and the 2009 International Bowl MVP.
2. Dan Orlovsky
Orlovsky was the quarterback for UConn from 2001 to 2004.
He threw for 10,706 yards (first) and 84 touchdowns (first).
He holds single-season records for passing yards and passing touchdowns, throwing for 3,485 and 33 touchdowns in 2003.
He also ranks first in total yards with 10,421 (first) and 90 total touchdowns.
He was the Motor City Bowl MVP and won the Walter Camp Connecticut Player of the Year Award.
3. Jordan Todman
Todman was also a running back for UConn from 2008 to 2010.
He ran for 3,179 yards (third) and 31 touchdowns (tied for third).
He ranks second in single-season rushing yards with 1,695 in 2010.
Todman was a first-team All-American, the Big East Offensive Player of the Year, a first-team All-Big East selection, and a second-team All-Big East honoree.
4. Lawrence Wilson
Wilson was a linebacker for UConn from 2007 to 2010.
He recorded 449 tackles (second).
He was a second-team Freshman All-American and a two-time first-team All-Big East selection.
5. Byron Jones
Jones played defensive back at UConn, where he was a shutdown cornerback.
Over his four seasons from 2011 to 2014, he had eight interceptions and one pick-six.
In 2014, in 241 coverage snaps, Brown allowed just 12 catches on 28 targets for 123 yards and no touchdowns.
He missed some time due to injury, and while he doesn’t appear in many record books, his shutdown capabilities are more than noteworthy.
