When Is the CFL Draft in 2026?

The 2025 CFL season has been over for some time now, and just around the corner is the 2026 CFL Draft. Right now, though, CFL odds for the 2026 Grey Cup champion are available at the BetMGM online sportsbook. 

In betting on those football odds, a team’s roster plays a massive role, and that includes adding the CFL stars of tomorrow in the draft.

The 2026 CFL Draft is expected to occur in late April, though no official date has been announced yet.

The 2026 CFL Draft has eight rounds. 

How To Watch & Stream the Canadian Football League Draft

The CFL is available on TSN. The first two rounds are broadcast on TSN’s main channels, whereas the remaining rounds are viewed on TSN+.

Who Is Eligible for the CFL Draft?

To be eligible for the CFL Draft, you must be a Canadian national. The player must also have played at a U Sports or NCAA program. There are 27 universities in Canada that are part of U Sports football. 

Players from the NCAA are eligible after their fourth year of college football, while U Sports players are eligible after their third year.

Per the 2022 collective bargaining agreement, the two teams with national players playing the highest percentage of snaps will receive an additional second-round pick. 

These teams haven’t been disclosed as of Jan. 6, 2026.
