Over the summer and into the winter, I engage in some CFL betting while watching the games, and it makes for a fun afternoon.
With that, how can you watch CFL games in Canada? Is it any different than where I’d watch the CFL in the USA?
Find out below.
Where to Watch the Canadian Football League in Canada
In Canada, you can watch CFL games on TSN (The Sports Network) in English and on RDS in French.
Both networks are part of Bell Media, which holds the Canadian TV rights.

For those without cable, there’s also TSN Direct, a streaming subscription.
Additionally, there’s CFL+, a streaming service that provides games at no cost.
Where Can I Watch CFL Games Tonight for Free?
You can watch CFL games for free in two ways.
First, CFL+. This is owned by the CFL and carries games that aren’t aired on TSN. This is more widely used by international viewers.
Additionally, there’s CTV. This is Bell Media’s free over-the-air network, and you can watch CFL games for free on the CTV app/website or if you have an antenna.
Where to Watch the CFL Online for Free
To watch the CFL online for free, you’ll have to use CFL+, which will provide Canadian viewers with preseason games and games not shown on TSN.
Can I Watch the CFL on CTV?
Yes. CTV is the free, over-the-air network under the Bell Media umbrella. There’s also the CTV website/mobile app. This network will simulcast select CFL games.
Are CFL Games on CBC?
No, CBC doesn’t carry CFL games. You won’t be able to watch CFL games on CBC television. Instead, they’ll be available on RDS and TSN.
Is the CFL Only on TSN?
While most CFL games are on TSN, it’s not the only place to watch them. RDS broadcasts games in French. There are also streaming platforms like CFL+, TSN Direct, and more.
