When it comes to making the playoffs, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats have been strong recently, making the playoffs in all but three seasons since 2009.

1. Garney Henley
Playing for the Tiger-Cats from 1960 to 1975, Henley never played anywhere else in his career. He won four of seven Grey Cups with the team and was the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player in 1972. Additionally, he was a two-time recipient of the Jeff Russel Memorial Trophy (most outstanding player of the Quebec Student Sport Federation) in 1963 and 1972.
Throughout his career, he intercepted 59 passes for 916 yards and five touchdowns.
2. John Barrow
Drafted in the fifth round by the Detroit Lions in 1957, Barrow opted to play in the CFL for Hamilton instead. He played there from 1957 to 1970, was a four-time Grey Cup Champion, and was a four-time All-Canadian from 1964 to 1967.
Additionally, Barrow was an 11-time All-Star on defence and was an offensive All-Star four times.
3. Angelo Mosca
Mosca played for the Tiger-Cats from 1958 to 1959 and again from 1962 to 1972.
While with Hamilton, Mosca won four Grey Cups, was a two-time CFL All-Star, a four-time CFL East All-Star, and was also the runner-up for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Lineman Award twice.
4. Hal Patterson
Starting his career with Montreal from 1954 to 1960, Patterson landed with the Tiger-Cats from 1961 to 1967. During his time with the team, he won three Grey Cups, was a three-time CFL All-Star, and a five-time CFL East All-Star.
Throughout his career, he caught 460 passes for 9,473 yards and 75 touchdowns, averaging 20.6 yards per catch.
5. Grover Covington
A more recent player, Covington, played for Hamilton as a defensive end from 1981 to 1991. He was the Grey Cup Most Valuable Defensive Player in 1986, won the James P. McCaffrey Trophy (best defensive player in the East Division) in 1988, and, in that same year, won the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award.
Covington was a CFL All-Star in 1985, 1986, 1988, and 1989.
He finished his career with 157 sacks, which is a CFL record.
6. Danny McManus
McManus played for the Tiger-Cats from 1998 to 2005. He was the quarterback of the Tiger-Cats’ most recent Grey Cup win in 1999.
He holds the Tiger-Cats franchise records in career passing yards (33,841), completions (2,368), and passing touchdowns (164).
McManus was also the third player ever to reach 50,000 passing yards.
