Internet star Jake Paul is back in action on June 28, as he takes on the former WBC middleweight champion and Mexican boxing star Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a cruiserweight match at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
Because of his better record and recent performance against Mike Tyson, Paul heads into the match as the considerable betting favourite with -590 boxing odds. On the other hand, despite his elite credentials as a pro boxer, Chavez Jr. will be the +450 betting underdog at BetMGM’s online sportsbook.

Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.: Prediction
I predict that Paul will win via unanimous decision in this match against Chavez Jr. because he’s the much younger boxer. Chavez Jr. is just a shell of himself compared to his glory days as a boxing world champion nearly a decade ago.
Although Paul had issues fighting with real professional boxers, evident in his loss to Tommy Fury, I still think he has the power and durability to compete with the Mexican star primarily because, at 39 years old, father time has caught up to him.
At 28, Paul remains in his peak physical form, and he has been competing in the cruiserweight division for quite some time now, while Chavez Jr. only has one bout in the weight class and was used to fight in the middleweight division for most of his career.
As much as I hate to admit it, I believe it will be a replay of the Tyson fight for Paul, where he lands and runs around the ring against Chavez Jr. and purely wins on the judges’ scorecards because he’s the more agile boxer. But I wouldn’t be surprised if “The Problem Child” can get the TKO/KO finish.
